Spinbob is a casino first, but the Reef has its own shark-run sportsbook, and it is more than an afterthought. It shares one account and one GBP wallet with the casino, so you can move from a Saturday accumulator to a few spins without transferring funds. This guide covers the sports and markets UK punters care about, the betting tools, how odds work and the terms of the sports welcome offer.

Sports and markets for UK punters

Football

Football is the main event. The Spinbob sportsbook covers the Premier League, Championship, League One and Two, the Scottish Premiership, FA Cup and League Cup, plus the big European leagues and competitions and international tournaments. Popular markets include:

  • Match result (1X2) and double chance
  • Both teams to score and over/under goals
  • Correct score and half-time/full-time
  • Goalscorer markets – first, last and anytime
  • Corners, cards and player shots
  • Outright markets – title winner, top four, relegation, top scorer

Horse racing (UK & Irish)

Racing gets full cards for UK and Irish meetings, from midweek all-weather fixtures to the big festivals. Expect win and each-way betting, forecasts and tricasts, and race-by-race results. Each-way is two bets of equal stake: one on the horse to win and one to place. The place part pays a fraction of the odds (often 1/4 or 1/5) on a set number of places, shown on the race card. Remember that each-way doubles your total stake.

Tennis, cricket, darts, golf and F1

  • Tennis – all four Grand Slams, ATP and WTA tours, with match, set and game markets that suit in-play betting.
  • Cricket – Tests, ODIs, T20 internationals and domestic competitions: match result, top batter, total runs and more.
  • Darts – the World Championship, Premier League Darts and the major ranking events, including 180s and checkout markets.
  • Golf – the majors and tour events with outright, each-way, top-10 finish and head-to-head markets.
  • F1 – race winner, podium, fastest lap, qualifying and season outrights.

You will also find rugby union and league, boxing, MMA, snooker, basketball, NFL and more in the A–Z menu.

Betting tools

In-play betting

In-play (live) betting lets you bet while the event is under way, with odds updating constantly. Markets may be suspended briefly after big moments such as goals, red cards or breaks of serve. If your bet is not accepted at the price you clicked, you may see a revised price to accept or decline.

Cash out

Cash out lets you settle a bet before the event ends, for a value based on the current odds. Use it to lock in part of a winning position or cut a loss. Two things to know: the offer is not available on every market, and the cash-out value usually includes a margin, so over time cashing out costs more than letting bets run.

Bet builder

Bet builder combines several selections from the same match into one bet, for example Arsenal to win + over 2.5 goals + both teams to score. The price reflects how the outcomes are linked. All parts must win for the bet to pay.

Accumulators

An accumulator (acca) links selections from different events. Odds multiply together, so returns can be big, but one losing leg sinks the whole bet.

Fractional vs decimal odds explained

UK bookmakers traditionally use fractional odds, while decimal odds are common across Europe and in betting exchanges. Spinbob lets you switch between them in your settings.

Fractional odds show profit relative to stake. 5/2 means you win £5 profit for every £2 staked. A £10 bet at 5/2 returns £25 profit plus your £10 stake = £35.

Decimal odds show the total return per £1, including stake. 3.50 means a £10 bet returns £35 in total (£25 profit + £10 stake).

To convert fractional to decimal, divide the fraction and add 1: 5/2 = 2.5 + 1 = 3.50.

FractionalDecimal£10 bet returnsImplied probability
1/21.50£15~67%
4/51.80£18~56%

6/42.50£2540%
5/23.50£35~29%
10/111.00£110~9%

Implied probability is 1 divided by the decimal odds. Adding up the implied probabilities for every outcome in a market gives more than 100%; the excess is the bookmaker’s margin.

The Spinbob sports welcome offer

Smart habits for Spinbob betting

A few habits make sports betting more enjoyable and easier to keep under control:

  • Shop for value, not certainties. A short-priced favourite still loses regularly; odds of 1/2 imply roughly a one-in-three chance of losing.
  • Keep accas modest. Each extra leg multiplies the odds but also the chance of a single result ruining the bet.
  • Read the rules for each sport. Settlement rules differ: for example, football bets are usually settled on 90 minutes plus stoppage time, not extra time or penalties, and tennis retirements and cricket rain-outs have their own rules.
  • Check each-way terms on racing before you bet, including the number of places and the fraction paid.
  • Review My Bets. Your account history shows every stake and return, which is the honest way to see whether betting is costing you more than you intended.

Getting started

  1. Register and pass the age and identity checks; UK rules require these before you can bet.
  2. Deposit with a debit card, Apple Pay, e-wallet, open banking or bank transfer. Credit cards are not accepted for gambling in the UK.
  3. Opt in to the sports offer, place your qualifying bet and keep your bet slip in My Bets.
  4. When you win, see our Spinbob withdrawal guide for timings and limits.

If you prefer to compare with a sports-led brand, our Spinbob vs bet365 page looks at how the two differ.

Bet responsibly

Sports betting can feel skill-based, but outcomes are uncertain and nobody wins in the long run by chasing losses. Set deposit and loss limits, avoid betting under the influence or when upset, and never bet money you need for bills. Spinbob offers deposit limits, reality checks, time-outs and self-exclusion; GAMSTOP and the National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133, free, 24/7) are there if you need help. See our responsible gambling page. 18+ only.

Questions UK players ask

What is the Spinbob sports welcome offer?

+

Bet £10, Get £30 in Free Bets. Place a qualifying bet of £10 or more at odds of 1/2 (1.50) or longer, settled within 14 days, and you receive three £10 free bets. They expire after 7 days and the free-bet stake is not returned with any winnings.

Can I claim the sports and casino welcome offers?

+

The sports offer and the casino welcome bonus are separate promotions with their own terms. Check the opt-in on the deposit page and the full terms in your account before depositing, because the qualifying rules differ. The crypto boost cannot be combined with the casino welcome bonus.

Can I switch between fractional and decimal odds at Spinbob?

+

Yes. The odds format setting lets you choose fractional (for example 5/2) or decimal (for example 3.50). Both show exactly the same price. Many UK punters prefer fractional for racing and decimal for working out accumulators quickly.

Does Spinbob offer cash out?

+

Cash out is available on many pre-match and in-play markets. The offer changes as the event unfolds and can be suspended during key moments such as a penalty or a wicket. Cashing out locks in a result but is usually worth less than letting a winning bet run.

Do free bets return the stake?

+

No. With a free bet, only the winnings are paid, not the free-bet stake. For example, a £10 free bet at 2/1 returns £20 if it wins, whereas a £10 cash bet at the same odds would return £30 including your stake.
