1. Who we are
spinbob1.com ("we", “us”, “our”) is an independent, UK-focused information guide to Spinbob casino. We are not the Spinbob casino and we do not operate any gambling service. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the controller of the limited personal data described in this policy.
If you have a question about this policy or your data, please contact us using the form on our support page.
2. What this policy does not cover
We never see your Spinbob account. We do not receive your Spinbob username, password, identity documents, payment details, balance or betting history. When you register, deposit, complete KYC verification or withdraw at Spinbob, the casino operator controls that data under its own privacy policy. Please read Spinbob’s privacy policy for details and contact Spinbob directly about your account.
This policy also does not cover other third-party websites we link to. Each has its own privacy policy.
3. What we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum.
3.1 Contact-form submissions you choose to send
If you use a contact or “ask us a question” form on the Site, we receive the information you enter — typically your name or nickname, your email address, the topic and your message. Please do not include sensitive information, account passwords or payment details in your message.
3.2 Basic server logs
Like almost every website, the Site is delivered through a hosting and content delivery network (CDN) provider. When you visit a page, the provider’s systems automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time of the request. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and protect it against abuse.
3.3 What we do not collect
We do not run user accounts, we do not ask you to register, and we do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health data) through the Site.
4. Cookies
By default the Site uses essential cookies and similar technologies only — those strictly necessary to deliver the Site securely, for example security and performance functions set by our hosting provider. Essential cookies do not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, such as analytics, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Affiliate click tracking. Our “Play”, “Register” and similar buttons go to a redirect path on our Site (/play) that forwards you to Spinbob. Any affiliate tracking that records your visit or registration happens on the partner side — on the casino’s or affiliate programme’s systems — after you leave our Site. Those cookies are governed by the partner’s own cookie and privacy policies.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
5. Why we use your data and our lawful bases
| Purpose | Data used | Lawful basis (UK GDPR Article 6) |
|---|---|---|
| Replying to your contact-form message | Name, email, message | Legitimate interests in responding to enquiries you send us |
| Delivering the Site and keeping it secure | Server log data | Legitimate interests in running a secure, working website |
| Handling legal claims or complying with the law | Relevant records | Legal obligation or legitimate interests |
We have balanced these interests against your rights and consider the impact minimal. We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for automated decision-making, and we will not add you to marketing lists.
6. Who we share data with
We share personal data only where needed:
- Hosting and CDN provider — processes server logs and delivers the Site on our behalf.
- Email or form-handling services — used to receive and reply to messages you send.
- Authorities — where we are legally required to, for example under a court order.
These providers act as processors under contract and may only use the data to provide their services to us.
7. International transfers
Our hosting and CDN provider operates a global network, so some data (such as server logs) may be processed outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / UK Addendum to standard contractual clauses used by the provider.
8. How long we keep data
- Contact-form messages: kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and then deleted within 12 months unless we need them longer to handle a complaint or legal claim.
- Server logs: kept for a short period by our hosting provider in line with its own retention practices, typically days or weeks, for security and troubleshooting.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data where there is no good reason for us to keep it.
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Portability — in some cases, receive your data in a portable format.
To exercise a right, contact us through the form on our support page. We will respond within one month, and we may need to confirm your identity first. There is normally no charge.
Remember that we hold no Spinbob account data. For a copy of your casino data, or to change or delete it, contact Spinbob directly.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
11. Children
The Site is intended for adults aged 18 or over only, because it is about gambling. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to messages. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through our forms.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how the Site works or the law changes. The latest version will always be on this page with its “last updated” date. Please also see our terms and conditions and, if gambling is causing you concern, our responsible gambling guide.
