Wagering requirements are the single most important part of any Spinbob bonus. They tell you how much you need to bet before bonus funds turn into withdrawable cash. The good news for UK players is that every Spinbob casino bonus uses 10x wagering – one of the lowest multipliers you will find, and in line with the UK Gambling Commission cap that applies from 19 January 2026.

What “wagering” means

When Spinbob gives you a £50 bonus with 10x wagering, you need to place £500 of qualifying bets (10 x £50) before the bonus and its winnings can be withdrawn. It does not mean you must lose £500 – the same money is bet over and over. If you stake £1 per spin, 500 spins complete the target, whether those spins win or lose.

Spinbob applies wagering to the bonus amount only, not to bonus plus deposit. That matters: a 10x “deposit + bonus” rule on the same offer would double the amount you need to bet.

The UK 10x cap in context

From 19 January 2026, UKGC-licensed operators cannot set bonus wagering above 10x. Before that, 35x–50x was common across the market. At 10x, finishing a bonus is a realistic goal rather than a near-impossible one. Remember to check the licence details in the Spinbob footer before depositing – UK players should look for a UKGC licence.

Example 1: a £100 welcome bonus

You deposit £100 and opt in. Your balance shows £100 cash plus £100 bonus. You need to wager £1,000 on qualifying games within 30 days. At £1 a spin on slots, that is about 1,000 spins. At £2 a spin, about 500 spins.

Example 2: playing live roulette instead

The same £1,000 target with live casino bets at 10% contribution means you would need to stake £10,000 on live tables to clear it. That is why we suggest finishing a Spinbob bonus on slots and enjoying live games with cash afterwards.

Example 3: free-spin winnings

Your 200 welcome free spins on Le Bandit are worth £0.10 each (£20 in total). Say they win £15. That £15 needs 10x wagering – £150 of bets – within 7 days. If the spins won £180 instead, you would wager £1,800, but the most you could convert to cash is £100.

Table games (RNG)10%£1

Jackpot slots are excluded because one large win could clear wagering instantly. Some individual slots may also be listed as excluded in the bonus terms – check before you play. Browse eligible titles in our slots guide.

Practical tips for clearing wagering

  • Pick a stake that fits the target. With a £100 bonus and £1,000 to wager over 30 days, £0.50–£1 spins spread the play across several sessions rather than one long one.
  • Understand volatility. High-volatility slots pay less often but bigger; low-volatility slots give steadier, smaller returns. Neither changes the maths of the house edge, so choose what you enjoy.
  • Check your progress bar. My Account → Bonuses shows how much is left to wager and how many days remain.
  • Stop when you planned to stop. If the bonus balance runs out before the target, that is the end of the bonus – do not deposit again just to keep it alive.

The £5 max bet rule

While you have an active bonus, the maximum stake is £5 per spin or round. This includes bonus-buy features and slots where an “ante” or bet-multiplier pushes your total stake above £5. Breaking the rule, even once, can lead to bonus winnings being removed. Set your stake before you start and avoid one-click “max bet” buttons.

Expiry deadlines

  • Deposit bonuses (welcome, crypto boost, Weekend Reload): 30 days from crediting.
  • Free-spin winnings: 7 days.
  • Welcome free spins: delivered 20 a day for 10 days, so log in daily.

When the deadline passes, the remaining bonus and any winnings linked to it are removed. Your own cash is not affected.

Cash balance vs bonus balance

Spinbob keeps two balances: cash (your deposit and real-money winnings) and bonus. In line with UK practice, your cash balance is used first. Only once it is spent do bets come from the bonus balance. This means:

  • Your deposit is always yours – you can withdraw unused cash.
  • Wins made while playing with cash stay as cash.
  • Once you are playing on the bonus balance, winnings are locked until wagering is complete.

You can watch both balances and your wagering progress bar in My Account → Bonuses.

Cancelling or forfeiting a bonus

You can cancel an active bonus at any time in My Account → Bonuses. When you do, the bonus amount and any winnings generated from it are removed, while your remaining cash balance stays. Requesting a withdrawal while a bonus is active usually forfeits it in the same way.

Cancelling makes sense if you have a decent cash balance and would rather withdraw now than keep playing. It is your money and your choice – nobody should feel pushed into finishing a bonus. See the withdrawal guide for timings.

Wager-free offers

Not every Spinbob promotion has wagering:

  • Tide Back cashback: 10% of net weekly casino losses, up to £250, paid every Monday as real cash with 0x wagering.
  • Tide Tournament prizes: paid in cash, no wagering.
  • Sportsbook free bets: no wagering on winnings, but the £10 free-bet stake is not returned.

Mistakes that void a Spinbob bonus

Avoid these

  • Betting more than £5 per spin or round while wagering.
  • Playing jackpot slots or excluded titles and expecting progress.
  • Letting the 30-day (or 7-day free-spin) deadline run out.
  • Opening a second account or sharing a payment method – one account per person, household, IP and payment method.
  • Requesting a withdrawal mid-wagering without realising it forfeits the bonus.
  • Depositing before completing KYC verification.

Our verdict on Spinbob wagering

At 10x on the bonus only, with slots at 100% and wager-free cashback on top, the Spinbob bonus terms are fair by UK standards. The rules that catch people out are the £5 max bet and the free-spin conversion cap, not the multiplier itself.

Wagering can tempt you to keep playing longer than planned. Set a deposit limit first, treat a bonus as extra playtime, and stop if it stops being fun. GamCare’s National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133, 24/7. More tools are on our responsible gambling page. 18+ only.

Questions UK players ask

What is the wagering requirement on the Spinbob welcome bonus?

+

The welcome bonus of 100% up to £500 carries 10x wagering on the bonus amount only, to be completed within 30 days. If you receive a £100 bonus, you need to place £1,000 of qualifying bets. Your deposit itself is not multiplied, which is the fairer way of calculating wagering.

Do live casino games count towards Spinbob wagering?

+

Yes, but only at 10%. Every £10 staked on live casino, table games or game shows counts as £1 towards your target. Slots count 100% and jackpot slots count 0%, so slots are by far the quickest way to clear a Spinbob bonus.

Can I withdraw before finishing the wagering?

+

You can withdraw your real-money cash balance, but requesting a withdrawal while a bonus is active normally forfeits the bonus and any winnings made with it. If you want to keep the bonus, finish the wagering first or decide deliberately that the cash matters more to you.

Is there wagering on Spinbob cashback?

+

No. Tide Back cashback of 10% of net weekly casino losses, up to £250, is paid every Monday as real cash with zero wagering. You can withdraw it immediately or keep it in your balance. Tide Tournament prizes are also paid as cash without wagering.

What happens to free-spin winnings at Spinbob?

+

Free-spin winnings are credited as bonus funds with 10x wagering, to be completed within 7 days. For the welcome free spins, the most you can convert into withdrawable cash is £100, even if the spins win more than that.
